A powerful three-day workshop where ELD specialists and classroom teachers unite to unlock language-rich strategies, clarify roles, and elevate instruction. Teams Collaborate

Training can be scheduled in three consecutive or non-consecutive days.

Co-teaching teams must register together. Teach team consists of one ELD specialist and one to four same grade level or content teachers.

Teams Will Learn

Foundations of Co-Teaching:

Establish shared understanding of the purpose, benefits, and structures for collaborative co-teaching.

Language Instruction Shifts:

Explore how evolving approaches to language teaching impact instructional planning and student outcomes.

Strategic Planning Tools:

Use backwards planning and time-saving strategies to align instruction with language and content goals.

Defined Co-Teaching Roles:

Clarify responsibilities and collaborative models across unit phases to ensure effective partnership.

Designing Performance Tasks:

Create engaging, standards-based tasks using ELP action plans and ELD task analysis.

Anchor Input Strategies:

Leverage rich, input strategies to deepen language development and content mastery.

Differentiated Support:

ELD teachers focus on language-rich strategies and sheltered teachers enhance access to core content.

Collaborative Planning & Assessment:

Streamline formative assessment, strengthen team planning using shared norms and tools.
