What is Project GLAD® ?

OCDE Project GLAD® Foundations is a 6-day training covering the topics of language acquisition, brain research, oral language development, literacy, long-term English learners, primary language support, and assessment and feedback. The training includes over 30 proven instructional strategies for delivering robust language instruction in the mainstream classroom integrated with an educator's existing content and curriculum.

Foundations Training Content

Our strategies are grouped into 6 component areas that share a common rationale. We'll start with the research base and make connections to a cultural component, which is a cornerstone of our model. Then teach the 'why' and 'how to' of the strategies in that component. Project GLAD® in Secondary

This 6-day training will focus on the academic needs of the secondary student.

If you've heard of Project GLAD® and assumed it was only for elementary students, come and learn how to successfully implement the model in your middle or high school classroom.

The Nitty Gritty

  • 16 person minimum

  • The 2-day R&T Workshop + The 4-day Classroom Demonstration = Foundations Training

  • The Workshop and Demo do not have to be consecutive. The Demo can happen at a later time in the school year or summer.

  • Each part is billed separately - R&T Workshop/ $500 per person, Demo/ $700 per person

  • The Learning Guide is $52/per
